QuSoft is a Dutch research centre dedicated to quantum software and technology, focused on advancing the science and engineering behind quantum computing and its applications. It was launched in partnership by the Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in December 2015.
QuSoft’s mission is to explore, develop, and deliver new protocols, algorithms and software for quantum computers — from fundamental research in quantum information science and cryptography to identifying real-world use cases with commercial and societal partners. The centre operates at the intersection of computer science, physics, mathematics, and industry, working collaboratively to build quantum software that can ultimately run on present and future quantum hardware.
In addition to core research, QuSoft participates in broader national initiatives such as Quantum Delta NL, contributing to an ecosystem that fosters quantum innovation across the Netherlands and internationally.
